Air Raid Displays

This is a loud and explosive display of the station under a Luftwaffe raid. The air raid sirens wail and we introduce the display of air raid drill.

Small scale pyrotechnics and smoke effects are used to simulate the landing of bombs as well as the effects of incendiary bombardment.

This display features the work of the Volunteer Fire Service and Civil Defence Corps in handling the casualties as well as putting out the fires.

Commentary covers the work of the Auxiliary Fire Services and Civil Defence Volunteers as well as the ARP Wardens and marshals..

After the display the visitors are welcome to ask any questions they wish of our performers and possibly even try our Morrison shelter for size.

These displays work well in an urban environment such as a Town Centre or Heritage Railway.
