The People of the War Show

As an introduction to the early stages of each show we perform the People of the War Show.

This show works in the manner of a fashion parade but looking at the people rather than the clothing.

During the show we cover the people present at the event and usually this features the soldiers of British, American and German forces, the civillians, the uniformed civillian services such as ATS, WAAF and guerilla organisations such as the resistance.

With each model there goes a brief commentary covering their duties and the challenges they faced as well as covering smaller facts about the people in question and the threats they faced.

The show promotes the idea that these people were real, ordinary people who in many cases just had to adapt to the new situations they faced..

After the show, the models can circulate with your audience, giving them a chance to view the clothes and accessories at closer quarters and maybe try a few on.

No two shows are the same as our MC extemporises at length from his wide background knowledge of the people of the period.
