Resistance and S.O.E. Displays

Not all of France surrendered!

As an explosive prelude to a Foreign Field Battle DIsplay or as a smaller skirmish in its own right the German Living History camp is subjected to a daring lightning raid by the French Resistance.

Using the authentic weapons a small band of the French backed up by British Agents stage a sabotage on the German war machine..

Throughout the demonstration over and above the gunfire Foreign Field provides an educational commentary on the tactics and backgrounds of the French Resistance and S.O.E. and the fact that as irregular guerilla combatants the Geneva Convention did not apply to these brave men and women.

Vive la France!.

As with all Foreign Field displays the public are then invited to talk to the soldiers and fighters, ask any questions they wish and see the weapons and equipment of the day.
