sergeant will perform a drill and training display similar
to those experienced by volunteers at the time. This display
is open to volunteers who wish to learn the discipline expected
of the drafted soldier. Sign up and be battle trained with
the Staffords from the 15th Century through to World War 2.

Before the development of the mechanised infantry the power of the army lie in the horse. During this demonstration our 18th and 19th Century reenactors will demonstrate the cavalry training during the time of the Amercian Revolutionary War and the Crimea..

Our commentator
will cover the history of the weapons,
of each period of history we are covering, compare the advantages
of each and how those affected the outcome of many of
the battles. For a fuller idea of how each weapon looks and
sounds, it will be fired.

Battle of Alma
On the 20th September 1854 the 38th Foot earned a battle honour for their role in the battle over the River Alma in the Crimea. Join our Crimean War group as they take you through the steps and moves of the battle.

Final Parade
Our day closes with a parade of all the periods of history we have covered. Our opportunity to see the range of Staffords that have served through the ages and to salute the regiment to their new home.

Join our 18th Century Group as they go through the drills, disciplines and equipment from the days when Britain fought the newly declared independent America.
