The Staffordshire Regiment Museum

Whittington Barracks, Lichfield Staffordshire.

Foreign Field have been invited back to the Staffordshire Regiment to highlight the role played by the regiment in World War 2 Airborne operations. The event will demonstrate airborne troops and equipment, as well as training and tactics from British and American airborne troopers as well as the German Fallschirmjager..

 

The Staffordshire Regiment collection tells the story of the Regiment and its forebears from its formation in Lichfield in 1705. It includes uniforms, equipment, weapons, medals (including 8 of the Regiment's 13 VC sets) and a children's hands-on area & quiz.

Outside there are armoured vehicles, two Anderson Shelters and 100 yards of 1st WW trench with sound effects & No-Mans-Land.
